I am writing this letter to express my sincerest thanks to you for attending the farewell party that I held at my home yesterday. Your presence at the party made my departure less painful since I was able to be with my closest friends and relatives before I leave for studies abroad. Thank you so much for showing me how much you care. I will really miss you and it was great to be able to spend some time with you before I finally leave.
You will always be a good friend of mine even if we will be apart. You are someone I know I can rely on for sound advice and I know that I will be writing to you often. Please patiently write back to me so that I will not be too lonely in a foreign country.
