Dear Austin Parker,

I am sorry to tell you that your function in Bell’s product department is no longer needed. Under the new management, the innovation of new products has been handed over to the Research and Development department. As of March 31, the product department will be permanently terminated and your function will not be needed anymore.

No one is pleased with the changes, and I apologize for the difficulties these might have caused you and your family. Your final pay will be handed over soon, and it will include a month of severance pay plus the check for 3 weeks of unused sick and vacation leave. Furthermore, kindly review the information on how to continue with you health care and such other similar benefits. The product team at Bell’s was an excellent one, and I believe that you will have success in whatever position you may find. I am willing to provide references for you. Good luck.
