Last week, our IT Department faced an issue regarding unwanted software that had been installed without proper authorization on a number of the company computers in workstations. Please be aware that we have a specific office policy on software access.
As stated in our handbook, all software programs that are installed on any of the company computers have to be approved by both your immediate supervisor and the head of the IT team. If you need to install a new program that is not currently available, you need to first fill out a request and have our computer technicians do the installation for you. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule.
