Dear Mather smith,
I feel that I have to write to remind you about the problem we have been having recently with the shingles on our roof. The shingles have moved and as such water has poured through the house during the last serious storm. As we were home at the time we managed to avoid most of the damage to our electrical goods, beds etc, but the ceiling and roof are in a bad condition. There is a weather report predicting more rain this weekend and so we ask that you arrange some sort of protection for the roof before then.
We would be perfectly satisfied with some form of protective covering until a more long-term solution can be found. I am around during the week so if you require any assistance to cover the roof I would gladly help. Please let me know what you can do for us, and what I can do to help.
