After last night’s failed negotiations, the union has decided to launch a strike which shall begin at 8:00 p.m. this evening. The union is demanding an increase in their monthly wages, together with medical and dental benefits. The union is also asking for additional bonuses which may come in the form of leaves with pay or simple holiday bonuses.
The only offer the management has made is a $2.00 per hour increase on laborer’s wages. While the union finds this lacking, it is still open to further offers and agreements.
We look forward to concluding these issues immediately in order for production can get back underway.
