Dear Mather Smith

First dates are usually great sources of stress for me. I always feel the pressured to make a good impression by ensuring that I don’t say anything stupid or get food stuck in my teeth. Further, I have to make sure I don’t trip over the stilettos I chose to wear over my better judgment. The amazing thing is I didn’t feel any of that anxiety when we went out last Friday night. I felt completely relaxed with you. Of course, prior to you picking me up I was a wreck, but when you greeted me with that smile of yours, all my trepidation and worry just flew right out of me.

Over dinner, I think the conversation flowed perfectly. There were no uncomfortable silences or pauses. We just kept talking and sharing our experiences. It was a wonderful feeling not having to worry that you’d be judgmental or think some of my ideas were weird. It actually felt like we’ve known each other for a while because our thoughts just seemed so in line and our points of view so in sync. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that way before with anyone on just the first date.

It was great learning that you love to cook because I do too! There’s this amazing cooking class that’s held during the evenings at Raiken Ramen House downtown and I thought maybe this is something that we could go to and both enjoy. I’ll give you a call tomorrow night to check if you’re interested. I really hope you are because I’d love to spend more time with you.

Sincerely,

Kund
