Dear Richard Anderson,

I am very sad to inform you that I shall be resigning from my post as the company’s executive personnel manager which is to be effective in two weeks or up until the time that a replacement will be found for my post. I have recently had my regular check up with my doctor and unfortunately, some issues regarding my health arose. My doctor has told me that I may have something serious, and he has told me that it would be best if I took an indefinite break off working,

This news greatly saddened me since I do love my job and I greatly enjoy working for the company. I also always look forward to spending time with my office mates, whom I view as some of my very good friends as well. I appreciate the opportunities and experiences being in this company has opened up to me, and I am very much thankful for the company’s offer to reinstate me to my position if ever everything turns out well.

Starting tomorrow, I shall be working from home as per the advice of my doctor. If you have matters which you need to take up with me, please just call me up at my personal number.

Sincerely,

Alan
