Dear Jack Morris,

I don’t know if it is just my imagination but I think I’m getting smarter. I believe that your electric personality is not only energizing my brain but also my heart. I got the highest score in our statistics test last Monday – even when I was out late the previous night. What surprises me more is that your beautiful face kept on appearing between the calculator and the formulas that I had to think about.

I’d like to believe that I learn more about you every time we are together, but you are still so full of surprises. It was unexpected that you learned French and Spanish, and you also did well on a statistics course. I’d be glad to interpret the results of the different tests in your term paper after you’ve finished your first draft. If you need help, you know that I am your man! Statistics is a language that I know how to speak well.

The fantastic thing about our relationship is that both of us like similar things, like politics, camping (and statistics!) and we also have interests that are not within the other one’s world. Indeed, the differences that we have make our time together really interesting. I was quite surprised when you said you never tried playing chess before. I was impressed with your skills when we had a match last time, and you won. We have to have a rematch! I was even more surprised to learn the practical applications of Calculus from you. I never thought of a math course that way. Though I need to learn more about the differences in the practical applications of integral and differential calculus.

I wish you can feel how much I love your company. My feelings toward you keep on growing as I spend more time with you. I admit that I’ve been dating a few girls (before I met you), but I’m not interested in anyone else anymore. I want to think about you only, and no one else. I hope you are feeling the same way for me, too. Let’s spend some time together this coming Saturday night — which is, I think, becoming our usual date night! I am expecting to have a chess match, and, of course, another French lesson.

With much love…

Sincerely,

Deborah
