Dear Mather Smith,

I don’t think I need to remind anybody that employee salaries are considered extremely confidential. It not just a breach against company policy to sneak around and try to find out how much other employees earn but it is also a violation against simple moral standards.

It has been brought to my attention that two days ago you were found by our Head Accountant, Ms. Jennifer Gile, looking at the payroll slips at her office. Let this be a strict warning to you that should this incident happen again, we will take disciplinary measures against you.

I trust, however, that this will remain an isolated incident. I hope that you fully understand the private matters within the company and respect and uphold the rules regarding it.

Sincerely,

Kaili
