I feel I must formally write in disagreement to your actions in sending Colin Deer to detention yesterday. As you must have observed I was dealing with the situation myself, having taken guidance from the school counselor. By acting as you did I feel that you have gone over my head in front of other students, which can do no good for my authority in the classroom. I would be happy to have a meeting with you to discuss this issue, as well as talk through the issues of disciplinary actions overall.
