Dear Austin parker,

I feel I must write and express my opposition to the proposal for the construction of a new street across the local park. I am not alone in my concerns, and many locals share my worries about the increase in traffic, the destruction of the park and the increased dangers. The park acts as a safe route for many children as they make their way to York High School. A road in the way is of course going to increase the risk of traffic accidents on a daily basis.

There is no need for a road to pass through the park, and as such I would hope that you would not support the new road proposal. A rejection would be clear evidence that you understand the fears and needs of the local community.

Sincerely,
Samantha
